You will notice that the time will pause giving you more time to finish the lap.Game IntroductionPlayers select either an automatic or manual transmission and turn the ignition key to start the game. By taking different off-ramps, players can select the track they prefer. While on the stunt track, players can jump a drawbridge, negotiate a high-speed banked turn, and drive a 360-degree vertical loop.Operator-selectable features include the time allowed from checkpoint to finish line and bonus driving time for a race well-run. The player's view is from the windshield of the car. Fully animated gauges are on the dash; graphics on the 25-inch medium resolution monitor are true multi-sided, three-dimensional objects. VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYCommon - There are 39 known instances of Hard Drivin' owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 34 of them are original dedicated machines, and 5 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There are 5 VAPS members currently looking for Hard Drivin'. For Sale - There are 12 VAPS members with Hard Drivin' machines for sale. There is one VAPS member with an extra Hard Drivin' circuit board for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TechnicalShortly after its realease, games like S.T.U.N. Runner and Race Drivin' were developed, both using similar hardware to this game.TriviaThis was the first driving simulator to use 3-D polygon graphics.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Hard Drivin' Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Atari Games.
