Peter Packrat DescriptionA platform game with three different boards; Junk Yard, Cavern, and Tree. The object is to collect items like bottles, watches, hats, balls, and cans and bring them back to your nest. However, you must avoid a variety of animals such as rats, cats, dogs, bats and owls who are either in your way or are out to get you.Know anything more about this game? Game PlayThe game play is quite simple: pick up one or more objects and return them to the nest. You can throw any number of objects that you've collected to stun animals. Flying animals that have been stunned can be ridden around the screen for a short period of time. A round ends when all the desired objects have been collected in the nest. Each successive rounds adds more objects and enemies along with changing the patterns of the shortcuts.VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYCommon - There are 21 known instances of Peter Packrat owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 10 of them are original dedicated machines, it is a conversion in which game circuit boards (and possibly cabinet graphics) have been placed in (and on) another game cabinet, and 10 of them are only circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There are 5 VAPS members currently looking for Peter Packrat. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TechnicalThe main processor is the 68010. A 6502A controls the main sound, coin slots and shares 8-bit I/O with the 68010. The FM sounds are generated by a YM2151.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Peter Packrat Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Atari.
