Root Beer Tapper DescriptionYou are a soda jerk serving root beer to patrons.Know anything more about this game? Game IntroductionThis game is almost exactly like the original Tapper except that the character you control is a soda jerk instead of a bartender, the beverage that is served is root beer instead of Budweiser beer and the background music is different.Like in the original game, the first level is a western saloon where the customers are cowboys and cowgirls. The second level is a sports bar where the customers are athletes including baseball players, football players, basketball players and tennis players. The third level is a punk bar where the customers are punk rockers and the fourth level is a space bar where the customers are strange alien creatures from other planets all over the universe. Game PlayYou must serve everyone a root beer before they work their way up to the kegs. You must also grab the empty mugs before they slide off the bar. Extra points are awarded for collecting tips. Bonus rounds involve locating and opening the one can that has not been shaken-up, and serving it.MiscellaneousPlay the game on-line (requires Shockwave) at http://www.shockwave.com/sw/content/tapperCOPY OF: Tapper VAPS Arcade CensusGAMES OWNED, WANTED, or FOR SALE BY MEMBERS OF THE VIDEO ARCADE PRESERVATION SOCIETYUncommon - There are 13 known instances of Root Beer Tapper owned by one of our 900 members. Of these, 12 of them are original dedicated machines, and it is a set of circuit boards which a collector could put into a generic case if desired. Wanted - There are 4 VAPS members currently looking for Root Beer Tapper. There is one VAPS member looking for a Root Beer Tapper circuit board set. For Sale - There is one VAPS member with a Root Beer Tapper machine for sale. VAPS members are totally independent of VAPS and the International Arcade Museum, and we are unable to recommend, endorce, or guarantee any person or company selling games or game parts. Rarity is NOT necessarily an indication of value. Some common games show up as very rare here because collectors don't want them (they are common because arcade operators might be sitting on tons of them in warehouses), while some fairly scarce games are grabbed by collectors every time they show up. Additionally, some games made in the last 5 years are still making money for operators and are thus not yet affordable to the typical collector. For a clue to value, compare how many people have this game vs. how many people want this game and then click on the eBay links to help determine an accurate price range. TriviaThis nearly identical game of Tapper was later released because the law told Bally Midway that they were not supposed to advertise alcohol in the arcades to minors.eBay ListingsClick here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for the Root Beer Tapper Videogame machine and items related to it.Click here to automatically search eBay's Arcade, Jukebox, and Pinball categories for machines and parts made by Bally Midway.
